The purpose
The role will focus on managing and delivering a physical development program to Manchester United YDP players with some support at FDP level. This involves the delivery of comprehensive fitness programs, based on sound principles of strength and conditioning and physiology. A key requirement is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in line with established practices implemented by Manchester United Athletic Training Services (ATS), contributing to the development of a world-class high-performance environment that is conducive to optimal player development and your transition. in football full time.

With the support of the PDP Physical Performance Coach and key department personnel, enhance performance by developing, implementing and evaluating training sessions both on the field and in the gym with the goal of maximizing athletic development, optimize competition preparation and minimize risk of injury through the application of sound scientific principles. More specifically:
Provide sport science and conditioning services in line with the strategic objectives of the clubs and the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP).
Support the day-to-day operation and administration of the Sports Science Services for U9-U16, including the integration of external interns.
Ensure AD and educational sessions are properly scheduled into the academy schedule as instructed, coordinating access and timings with key personnel, contributing to the development of the Player Support Program.
Work with other athletic development staff to streamline training procedures and monitor individual and team training sessions.
With the support of all science and conditioning staff at the FDP/YDP level, support the development of a training delivery system integrated into training practice to support athletic development.
Offer and support field and gym sessions for all age groups.
Develop and deliver an effective and efficient training load monitoring process suitable for the U12 to U16 age groups.
Manage the collection and reporting of GPS data and additional wellness and training load markers in accordance with department standards.
Maintain PMA and additional databases required to complete 6-week and 12-week player reviews, allowing for proper evaluation of all players.
Analyze and interpret performance data and summarize training and game loads across squads and individuals, distributing regular reports to key stakeholders.
Support the implementation of the EPPP performance profile.
Ensure all EPPP requirements are met regarding anthropometric profiles and sports science based research projects for U9 to U16, supporting PL initiatives.
Adopt and optimize internal operations to promote efficiency and excellence in service delivery throughout the academy.
